Once in Braga, we recommend the use of Braga Urban Transportation System. Bus Nr. 43 connects the train station with University of Minho (1.55 euros -Schedule and itinerary map).

Getting to Braga

From Porto

Airplane: The closest airport is Sá Carneiro Airport 50 Km from Braga (31 miles). There is a direct bus (Getbus) from the to Braga and back, every 2-3 hours. 
  • Subway to Porto (Campanhã station) and a train from there to Braga (Braga Line). 
  • Bus n.56 to Oporto (every 20min) and Aerobus, direct bus to Oporto (every 30 min.) (7am - 7pm).

Train: Oporto's train stations (Braga Line):
Bus: Station, R. Alfredo Magalhães, 4440-452 Porto. Rede expressos, Renex.

Car: recommended route (57km).

Taxi: It takes about 40m. and costs about 55€.
From Lisboa

Airplane: Portela Airport (Lisboa) is approximately 370 km from Braga.

Train:
Bus: Estação do Oriente (Orient Station) (Ed. Gare do Oriente, piso 1 – Av. D. João II 1990-233 Lisboa). Public transportation network in the eastern area of Lisbon, linking the subway, bus and taxi.  Airplane passengers can check-in previously.
