Godfrey Wu（吴高辉,Gaohui Wu）, Joint-trained Phd of Sun Yat-sen University and Cardiff University, Visiting Scholar of School of Global and Area Study of Oxford University supervised by Rachel Murphy, Assistant Professor of School of Public Administration in Central South University, main research areas: Poverty, Basic Income, Migrant workers’ families and Social Policies; Chinese Rural Politics, Economy and Society.

He has published the academic monograph on in Chinese: the Practice Path and Internal Mechanism of Poverty Alleviation to Rural Revitalization Led by Party Building （党建引领脱 贫攻坚到乡村振兴的实践路径与内在机制），two series research papers respectively in Chinese core journals about two themes: Social Policy Innovation in China's Anti-poverty Experience and Party Leadership in Poverty Alleviation and Rural Revitalization in China. Besides,he is also the advocate and researcher on the Unconditional Basic Income or Basic Income, the globally popular social policy thought, around which he attempts to do some global, historical and comparative analysis on global poverty, gender and the world's precariat classes, especially in developing countries such as China, India, Kenya, Congo, and Brazil.
