Mariana Silva was born in 1993, in Vizela. Graduated in economy and currently attending the MA in management at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Her interest in basic income came from the moment she started doing her master’s thesis in order to discuss possible ways of financing this measure in Portugal.
Her main motivation for working on this problem is that it is really urgent to fight against the existing economic inequalities and against extreme poverty, in order to guarantee a fair conception of equality in society.
