I am a final year medical student at the University of Porto and a MA candidate in Political Philosophy at the University of Minho. Considering these two academic experiences, I decided to study the possibility of using a Basic Income scheme as a public health tool to address health needs - see "Projects - > Health and Basic Income" to know more about it. This project is a part of my MA thesis, which will look at health inequalities and their fairness. This thesis is supervised by Roberto Merrill. I am an active student advocate, currently organizing the Pre-World Health Assembly 2019 in Geneva, a 4 day workshop for health professionals worldwide to develop their policy and advocacy skills. I was a delegate at the World Health Assembly and the World Health Summit in 2018, and I'll be attending the WHO Executive Board meeting and the World Health Assembly in 2019. I am also a member of Universal Basic Income - Portugal and have chaired a session at BIEN 2017 on "UBI and its effects on work".
