How can a UBI impact health? There is extensive research on the impact of UBI on employment, on economic and gender equality, on hapiness, and so on. Unfortunately, the "health arguments" for the acceptance or refusal of a UBI have been forgotten. We intend to study how a regular, universal, money contribution can affect the health status of individuals and communities, combining theoretical arguments with empirical results from UBI pilots and fields such as health economics and psychology. The model we intend to study is one in which UBI is not replacing the social assistence provided by the State, but complementing it.
